What You Need Before Installation

  1. A computer that meets the minimum system requirements.
  2. A USB flash drive with at least 5GB of storage for the Cyclop OS installer.
  3. An external hard drive or cloud storage for backing up important files before installation.

Step 1: Download Cyclop OS

If you haven’t already, download Cyclop OS from the official Download Page. Choose the correct version for your hardware and save the ISO file to your computer.

Step 2: Back Up Your Data

Before proceeding, it’s strongly recommended to back up important files to an external drive or cloud storage. If you plan to dual boot with another OS, this step is optional, but backing up is always a good practice.

Step 3: Create an Install Drive

To install Cyclop OS, you'll need to create a bootable USB drive using a tool like Balena Etcher.

Balena Etcher
  1. Download and install Balena Etcher.
  2. Insert your USB flash drive into your computer.
  3. Open Balena Etcher and select "Flash from file".
  4. Choose the Cyclop OS ISO file.
  5. Select the USB drive as the target.
  6. Click "Flash!" to begin the process.
  7. Wait a few minutes for the process to complete.

Step 4: Boot from the USB Install Drive

  1. Ensure the USB Install Drive is plugged into your computer.
  2. Restart your PC and enter the Boot Device Menu (usually by pressing Esc, Delete, or F12 during startup).
  3. Select the USB drive from the boot menu.
  4. Choose "Try or Install Cyclop OS" from the welcome menu.
  5. Let the system verify the USB drive to ensure a smooth installation.
