Automatic Updates (Recommended)

Cyclop OS automatically notifies you when new updates are available. This includes security patches, system improvements, and software upgrades. To ensure your system stays updated:

1. Open Software & Updates from the Cyclop Menu.
2. Go to the Updates tab.
3. Set Security Updates and Other Updates to Immediately.
4. Ensure Check for Updates is set to Daily.
5. If prompted, click Update Now to install available updates.

Manual Update (Graphical Interface)

If automatic updates are disabled or you want to update manually, follow these steps:

1. Open the Software Updater from the Cyclop Menu.
2. The system will check for available updates.
3. If updates are found, click Install Updates.
4. Wait for the installation to complete and restart your computer if required.

Update Using Terminal (Advanced Users)

For experienced users, the Terminal provides a quick way to update Cyclop OS. Open a terminal and run the following commands:

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

This command will fetch the latest package lists and install all available updates. To remove unnecessary files after updating, run:

sudo apt autoremove && sudo apt clean
